Brian brings over 35 years of business and accounting experience to Hi-G-Tek, working for a variety of companies including both small closely-held businesses and large publicly-held companies. This experience has given Brian an in-depth knowledge and appreciation of the day-to-day issues encountered by small businesses as well as the complexities encountered in larger corporations.
After leaving public accounting, Mr. Hoffman worked as Vice President and Treasurer for a real estate development and construction firm. He was responsible for administrative functions and as well the negotiation and closing of construction and permanent loan financing in excess of $125 million. In 1997, Brian joined a small start-up defense contracting firm and was instrumental in the organization, management, and ultimate successful sale of the company. In 2007, Brian was once again involved in running a start-up company; he served as both President and CFO of this business focused on patented technology for illuminated truck side advertising.
Brian graduated from Clemson University in 1974 and earned his CPA certificate in 1976.
